Tasmania’s favourite mycologist Tim Murch from @West Tamar Fungi and Dean Smith from @Tunnel Hill Mushrooms will take you through an in-depth Mushroom Growing Workshop where you will learn all the skills you need to start growing your own delicious oyster mushrooms at home.   • Dean will take you on a tour of the 1891 tunnel where he grows a variety of mushrooms.

  • A tour of Dean’s mushroom laboratory.

  • Tim will give you a hands-on lesson on how to make your own mushroom bucket and take you through how these magnificent fungi grow.

  • You will leave with your own oyster mushroom bucket to grow from and use again and again !

  • Extensive notes on how to grow them and all the knowledge you need to begin growing and maximise your yield.

  • Dean will fire up the train BBQ, using freshly harvested mushrooms from the tunnel giving you a taste of how delicious and versatile mushrooms are. Refreshments and a light morning/afternoon tea is provided.

  • Try a range of mushroom products from West Tamar Fungi , Mushroom Jerky in multiple flavours, Mushroom Chutney, Mushroom Pickles and more, all made in Tassie in a commercial kitchen

  • You can choose to make a 10L or 20L bucket when you checkout. (10l bucket will provide between 1 and 2 kg of gourmet mushrooms and 20L bucket will provide approx. 2.5kg of mushrooms over multiple flushes/harvests).
